Given the public' Meher turned to Digital Asset Management (DAM), which digitizes all analog content (videos) into digital file format and creates digital library. With MSM-DBB (MSM Digital Backbone), Meher is ensuring the digitizing of 10,000 hours of content with metadata tagged to each digital asset. The metadata tagging includes basic and advanced properties, including scene-based tagging. Like any good library MSM-DBB enables users to search for content quickly. "MSM-DBB enables a complete search of assets with respect to star cast, episode numbers, airing dates, etcetera. For example it can search for all of Yuvraj Singh's sixes in IPL 4,"says Meher. The digitalization allows MSM to put content on air 24 hours faster and also allows it to sell content to other media organization quicker.
