This triggered the need for formulating an innovative storage solution to further strengthen storage, backup and retrieval capabilities to increase workforce productivity, improve efficiency, optimize cost and enable agility. Kumar took it upon himself to enhance the company's storage infrastructure by deploying a three-way disaster recovery solution using storage-based replication, centralized laptop and desktop backups with the existing backup infrastructure. He also enabled storage tiering. In addition, Kumar created a centralized backup solution to provide agility and backup to mobile devices, laptops and project servers. Today, the solution has enabled faster DR, reduced backup windows, improved data availability, simplified data recovery and reduced storage costs. By enabling storage tiering, the company reduced its storage cost by nearly 40 percent.
