Managing security in among the most regulated industries in the world isn't just a challenge, it can cause severe dents to a company' That's why Agarwal designed a security operations center (SOC) framework. He used a platform that he bought off-the-shelf and integrated with Aircel's IT infrastructure. Based on pre-defined KPI's, Aircel executives can now use a dashboard to get a snapshot view of security incidents, the probable risk exposure stemming from each, and the business impact they could cause. Agarwal also set up a dedicated security investigation and analysis/forensics team (SIRT), which works with the SOC operational team, and Aircel management, among others, to focus on security incident responses and resolution. The framework has helped the IT, management, and operation teams manage and bridge gaps in compliance and security effectively.
