Many of Bharti Infratel' Singh championed a tower operations and asset management center project using 3IM Methodology (Instrument, Interconnect, and Intelligence & Management) to automate and integrate operations. New sensors at tower sites collect real-time data on power consumption, the state of the site, and any problems. This data is integrated with a centralized monitoring system which aids collection, analysis, and incident management at tower sites. The integrated systems provide a holistic view of the conditions at the tower site in real time, helping business to take timely decisions. The project saves Bharti Infratel Rs 5.5 crore a year in power costs. It's also bumped up accurate, timely work allocation to field staff, which, in turn, has increased site uptime to 99.7 percent.
