The Kalyani Group deployed a shared services model for its IT in order to support the company'Its storage infrastructure, however, was riddled with issues as the group had more than 12 different storage and backup systems and was using expensive fiber disks to store archival data. Apart from traditional SAN and NAS, Zope went for a file management solution that created a tiered storage architecture and utilized low-cost disks for storing archival data. The effective use of the new, integrated storage system has improved the company's IT availability, brought about a 75 percent reduction in power usage, and saved 37 percent of storage space.
